ICONOLOGIA Iconologia is an archeaological dig to explore the Hidden History of Australia by looking from the present into the past and reviewing our ancestry and ways of being in and relating to the land and its custodians. To understand how it was for others, we might accept rather than deny or reject that past. Our intention is to create photographic images as expressions of our feelings and thoughts about hidden personal and historical references. By placing the multiple personae characters into the natural environment we extend the work into a new visual eco-resonant iconography. This work is part of a route-recorrection to make us whole again. This series of photographs were made at Yellow Rock, in the Blue Mountains of NSW, Australia, after the Bush Fires of December 2001/January 2002. RealisationProject is realised as photographic installation. People involvedJuno Gemes Willem Brugman Catherine Hassall Contact Info for this Project
