Annual gathering to celebrate Spring. Workshops, music, community projects, premiere performance of "Feeding Minds, Fighting Hunger".

Vision

The 2003 GGGP builds on the party we held in 2002 when Australian Community Foods was publicly launched. The idea is to continue promotion of the website through an annual public event that in itself has immediate benefits and attractions, especially in the calling in of disparate community entities and activities (ie, culture camp/community market)

This year we again plan to make use of the Culture Lab homebase at Yellow Rock: the venue is thematically appropriate, close to Sydney, and connects easily with other energies such as the staging of a theatrical performance, fundraising for the organic vege run, etc.

The event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, October 18/19.

GGGP2003 is focussed on providing a platform so that the community can see itself. While Australian Community Foods will be visible, and a workshop on the website will be offered, the event is not centred around direct promotion of ACF.

Realisation

Performance, speeches, workshops, market stalls, communal eating, music, open call, camping, fire circle.

People involved

JohnB, core team, principle organisers.

Root-node responsibility for the event rests with John B. Willem, Cat and Grah have all indicated fundamental support for the event and will assist in overall guidance.

The bulk of the project work is to be handled by a project team consisting of Lab members and non-members, eg Community Foods members and close comrades.
